Term 6
We have been studying The Gruffalo and Jack wrote the beginning of the story:

Alex also wrote the beginning of the story of the Gruffalo and produced a great storyboard:
"Once upon a time there was a little mouse. A fox met the mouse and the mouse looked good. Where are you going little brown mouse? I'm going to have tea with a Gruffalo."

Following a PE lesson where the children were orienteering, Olivia chose to make a map of the school grounds during Child Initiated:

Term 5
This term we are studying minibeasts. We spent a week looking at butterflies and made our own symmetrical butterflies, as well as writing instructions for someone else to do the same.
- 1. Cut it out.
- 2. Fold the butterfly in half.
- 3. Draw the pattern on it.
- 4. Paint it.
- 5. Fold it in half again.
- 6. Open it up and you have got a beautiful butterfly. By Charlotte
